CÁSTOR FANTOBA

2021 Teams Vice World Champion, 2019 Vice World Champion Freestyle and 12 times Spanish Unlimited Champion: 2002, 2009, 2011, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022.

Cástor Fantoba born in Pamplona, Spain 1966. An Aeronautical Engineer by training, Cástor gained his extensive flying experience in different areas such as aerial advertising, skywriting, crop-dusting and water-bombing. He is also an airline Captain, flying in Boeing 737, 757 and 767.

He is an aerobatic flying instructor and member of the Spanish National Aerobatic Team since 1999. Cástor won his first Spanish Championship in 1997, in the Intermediate category, but he was crowned Overall Spanish Unlimited Champion for the first time in 2002 and is a member of the Bravo3 Repsol team since 2011.

Cástor was Brand Ambassador for Spain (Marca España) from 2014 to 2018. He was awardedthe Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI) Paul Tissandier Diploma for his work in serving the development of sports aviation and awarded by Avión Revue International for Sporting Excellence 2019.

Vice world Champion Teams 2021, Number two in the world in Freestyle (World Championship 2019); 3 Bronze medals in the World Championship 2017; 2 Bronze medals in the World Championship 2015; Bronze Medal in Classic and in Freestyle in European Championship 2016; European Champion Overall in 2014 and Spanish National Champion (9 times); Fantoba is officially recognised as an elite sportsman by the Spanish Government (DAN) since 2005. In his sporting career to date he has achieved more than 50 Podiums and six medals at a single championship (EAC 2014). He has won 30 FAI medals, including six golds.
